Delete Your Account

The fastest way is inside the app. Your account is deleted within 7 days of the request, and you can cancel any time before it goes through.

1. Delete from inside the app

Sppero (rider app)

Open the app and go to the Profile tab
Scroll to Legal and tap Delete account
Read what will be removed, then confirm

You can also reach it from Support → Delete Account.

Sppero Buddy (driver app)

Open the app and go to Profile
Tap Delete Account
Read what will be removed, then confirm

You can also reach it from Support → Delete Account.

2. If you can no longer sign in

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot access your account, email us from the phone number or address registered on the account and we will process it for you:

Please include the mobile number registered on the account so we can identify it. We may ask you to confirm ownership of that number before deleting anything — this protects you from someone else deleting your account.

3. What gets deleted

Your name, mobile number and profile
Your saved places and emergency contacts
Driver accounts: driving licence, Aadhaar, vehicle documents and payout details
Your login — you will not be able to sign in again

4. What we keep, and why

We keep trip and payment records with your personal details removed, so they can no longer be linked back to you. Two reasons we cannot simply erase them:

Indian tax and accounting rules require invoice and payment records to be retained
Every ride has two people on it — the other person keeps their own trip history, and deleting yours would take part of theirs with it

5. Before you delete

Situation	What happens
You have a ride in progress	Finish or cancel the ride first — the request cannot be accepted while one is running.
You have wallet balance	It will be forfeited. It is not refundable once the account is deleted, so withdraw or spend it first.
You are a driver with commission due	Clear the outstanding amount first. Deleting an account does not cancel money owed.
You change your mind	Cancel from the same screen any time within the 7 days. Nothing is lost.

6. How long it takes

Requests are reviewed and completed within 7 days. You will get a notification when the request is received and again when it is done. Anonymised trip and payment records are retained for the period required by Indian tax law.
